Asona’s owner and founder, Neil Ridgway, didn’t set out to make ceilings and wall coverings. But, with an innate curiosity and a knack for innovation, he was destined to do something interesting.
Well-designed acoustic solutions can be both beautiful and functional, creating truly multi-sensory experiences. This is what we do at Asona.
We might be a NZ success story now, but Asona started life in a garage in 2003.
The project aims to provide a cost-effective system to refurbish soiled and damaged ceiling panels with new decorative finishes and have them reused in commercial buildings.
Polyfon Mesh™ provides the opportunity for a ceiling to incorporate pattern and texture without overwhelming the interior.
Nestled in the foot hills of the Remarkables, the new PPP Wakatipu High school sits with confidence in this stunning landscape and is a testament to the vision and creativity of the design build team of ASC architects and Hawkins Construction.
The ceilings in this stunning project were designed by Warren and Mahoney architects and feature Asona’s Triton 50 Pool Panels™ (large module) to control the reverberation and noise from the three swimming pools housed under an extensive ceiling space.
The B:HIVE building offers innovation and ingenuity not only via its unique physical design and layout, but it also offers complete space and rent flexibility for tenants, says Paul Gunn, Smales Farm CEO.
Indoor Pool environments are a challenge for building designers, manufacturers and contractors, with high humidity, condensation and corrosion issues a constant threat to building elements.
Asona has the answer for reviving tired grid & tile ceilings with Polyfon Mesh, wood-look and other decorative acoustic ceiling finishes.
Asona’s acoustic ceiling & wall panels have once again featured in the NZIA Awards Finalist selection.
"High-tech" style architecture describes an increasing number of commercial buildings with a "nuts-and-bolts, exposed-pipes look" which highlights the technical elements of the building by externalizing their workings.
